The insertion vortex flowmeter is a split-type measuring instrument optimized based on conventional pipeline vortex flowmeters. It is mainly designed for industrial applications featuring large pipe diameters, low pressure loss and installation without pipe cutting. It is compatible with the same media as standard vortex flowmeters and can measure clean gas, low-viscosity liquid, saturated and superheated steam. The specific applicable scenarios are as follows:

The insertion vortex flowmeter is a split-type measuring instrument optimized based on conventional pipeline vortex flowmeters. It is mainly designed for industrial applications featuring large pipe diameters, low pressure loss and installation without pipe cutting. It is compatible with the same media as standard vortex flowmeters and can measure clean gas, low-viscosity liquid, saturated and superheated steam. The specific applicable scenarios are as follows:

  1. Measurement for large-diameter pipelines It is engineered for working conditions with DN100 and larger pipes, especially extra-large pipelines above DN300. Compared with inline flowmeters, it requires no full pipe cutting or replacement. Hot tapping and online plug-in installation are available, greatly reducing equipment costs and construction difficulties. It is widely used for flow monitoring of plant main pipe networks and large main pipelines for water and gas transmission.
  2. Fluid transmission scenarios for energy saving and consumption reduction The probe-type structure creates minimal flow resistance, and the medium pressure loss is much lower than that of inline flowmeters. It suits scenarios with strict requirements on pipeline pressure drop and energy consumption control, including large circulating cooling water systems, air supply/return pipelines of central air conditioning, long-distance compressed air pipe networks and main industrial water supply & drainage pipelines. It balances measurement accuracy and production energy-saving requirements.
  3. General industrial working conditions Suitable for routine fluid monitoring across multiple industries. In the chemical industry, it measures clean process gas and low-viscosity organic solvents. In power and thermal sectors, it meters flow in plant main steam pipelines and hot air ducts. In the petroleum industry, it monitors the transmission of light oil products and process gas. For municipal heating and water supply systems, it performs total pipe network flow statistics and energy consumption accounting.
  4. Retrofit and post-installation monitoring scenarios For existing old pipe networks and running production lines where shutdown and pipe cut-off for renovation are unavailable, it enables online installation and maintenance without machine halt. No shutdown or pressure relief is needed, and normal production remains unaffected. It serves as the preferred option for adding flow monitoring and upgrading old industrial systems.
